Our friendship began at the bar - Kirk Henry behind and Ryan Suddendorf watching him masterfully take care of every guest. Somehow 6 years came and went with Ryan opening multiple restaurant locations around the greater Seattle area. All the while, Ryan and Kirk's friendship continued to grow with conversations centered around their passion for hospitality, restaurants, drinks, their beloved Huskies, and Mexican food.
It was when they found themselves both in Puerto Vallarta, together with their families, that they immersed themselves in the extraordinary food and tequila of the region. The seed was planted to explore an entrepreneurial partnership working together to open a restaurant emulating these culinary experiences.
Ryan and Kirk recognized this niche was missing from Northeast Seattle and began to devise a plan to offer authentic Pacific Coast Mexican cuisine in a neighborhood gathering place where regulars are remembered and first timers are treated like regulars. ARRIBA Cantina is the culmination of their vision!
